if it's part of most hom's practice these days, or if not, why that might be.

Re: Staph -- muscle testing
I think most don't. Some feel it's sort of cheating to find the remedy
thru any means other than symptom correspondence (never mind that
you've got to use your symptom correspondence to decide *which*
remedy(s) to muscle test!) and also (I've gathered) don't somehow
"believe in" it. It does in fact take practice, and does have its
pitfalls. Still, I'm with you--can be marvelously helpful to those of
us who still sometimes make mistakes.
I *wish* I could find
someone who is both a good homeopath and accomplished at *any* sort of
"objective verification", sigh...

Can't help myself - if they were a good homeopath they probably
wouldn't need any "objective verification"

The reason for my own interest is that I've been under treatment by
(over the years) about half a dozen "good" (classical, fully trained,
generally successful, highly recommended, and several with a good
decade or more of experience) homeopaths, but there has been a great
deal of frustration. I haven't become fascinated with "objective
verification" for lack of anything else to do with my life!

stays in practice and treats all comers, does have their difficult and
frustrating cases.
Is your experience different? (And if it is--if you get all of yours
right--how can I see you?

But seriously I have always said that homeopathy is only as good as the
practitioner and we all have our cold cases. No-one gets it right with
every client although the effort involved should be analysed and
equated. But we can always learn from these. I still spend time on
cases that I failed with and try to gain some learning experience with
them.
But it is lamentable that your own experience has been less than
satisfactory. Overall I still think this is down to the fact that the
practice of homeopathy allows for too many variables that stray away
from Hahnemannian homeopathy and that is why I would always take a
stand against anything that falls short of that and also against poor
learning structures - and there are far too many of those. So, in that
sense, objective verification becomes an expected norm. It might be a
big ask but we should be able to expect very high standards when we
visit a homeopath.
Best wishes, Joy

AAAaaaaagh!
Muscle testing is not homeopathy just because a homeopath uses it, any
more than irridology is homeopathy.

Re: Staph -- muscle testing
Hello all,
I studied AK with students of G. Goodheart in the early 1970s and have
a wide experience with its application. When muscle testing is used to
query non conformable questions about the future it becomes less and less
dependable. The more subjective the information sought the more hit and
miss it is becomes because then it depends mostly on the mind of the
operator. I have seen persons that did not know homeopathy very well try to
use AK as the major method of picking remedies and potencies as well as how
often and how long to give the remedy. One person tried to give a very
sensitive patient Tuberculinum 200c everyday for one month and it cause
manifold new symptoms and made the person sick in the first week! I hate to
think what one month of this remedy would have done to her!
When a person (and there are quite a few) that knows homeopathy well
uses AK the situation is quite different. They know the checks and balances
and what is reasonable from what is not and can act accordingly.
Nevertheless, when one starts to use the body to divine the future it again
becomes purely subjective and based on ESP. If one is going to use such a
method don't go too far into the unknowable! If you can consistently tell
exactly how many letters you will get each day over the next weeks with
your pendulum or muscles testing then you are specially gifted person! If
not, best use observation of present realities more than project too much
into the future by asking questions by AK.
Sincerely, David Little

Thanks , David for your insights on AK -- the time remoteness as a factor in inaccuracies. Interesting! Rosemary

David,
Even I agree with your take on this application to such a strange
application of what is typically a very good science in the hand of a non
biased health practitioner. What you have described above is more along the
line of a fortune teller, which is NOT at all what I was talking about....I
was not talking about the future, or "how many letters one would receive in
the course of the next week..." I was talking specifically about challenging
a known problem in the body, finding a weakness, then finding WHAT substance
their body needs to strengthen it. Sometimes I've been very surprised to
find that what I thought would be helpful was not, and instead something
else was very helpful. I try not to ever really be "convinced" than
anything is "the ONLY substance" that will fix anything. I do what I do
very prayerfully, and ask God to show me what He knows will meet the
specific need in this person's life.
The way I look at it, and the way I work is similar to prayerfully "casting
lots" or "putting out a fleece".... I feel that we are told to "Ask of God"
what wisdom we need, and I take that literally. But I feel that I
communicate better with Him by being able to muscle test to find His
direction and His answers to my Inquiries. This is not something that is
done with "futures", or with ESP, or things that have no vital life force.
It is with living, breathing, persons with health problems, challenging
specific organs, glands, etc.... and finding a Nutritional supplement, a
Homeopathic Remedy, a Rife Frequency, a Essential Oil, a substance that will
balance the acid/alkaline balance, or energize a energy depleted vital force
of a body....with a biofeedback device or laser.
What can I say? There are always going to be people who try to read into
this what isn't there. I will not spend my time trying to defend my
position 24/7. I just know what I do gets results. I cannot vouch for other
people's techniques. I know there are a lot of other people who practice
some pretty "out there" stuff... but I'm not one of them.
Thanks for clarifying the difference. It takes darkness sometimes to define
the light.
