Poor Rochelle! I don't envy you, having had the same thing years ago. Different feet, different times, different remedies. You just have to rep on the symptoms.
Another thing that is helpful, however, is a warm comfrey compress. I grow the stuff, but you can obtain it from any decent herbal shop. I found those very soothing.
Peace,
Dale

Plantain is another good herb to use. I once dropped a huge piece of drywall
across my toes.. Veery big ouch! A foot bath of comfrey and plantain took down
the swelling and purple color immediately.
But the exercises are critical I believe in keeping the tissue stretched. Taping the
foot in a bent position, or creating a sling is also very important

Maybe do a rep/MatMed on
* Calcaria Carb. – Arthritic swelling, heel pain especially in fleshy people which is worse by cold.

Thanks – I am going to go for the Phytolacca I think. Was going to do 200 but decided to chicken out and do 30!! I take magnesium daily so can’t be that. I suspect it is 2 weeks abroad with only walking as exercise and then returning and going straight into a body combat class Tuesday and Step class last night. I can actually walk on it now so maybe the Arnica 200 I took earlier has helped !!

I must say that I never luck with Ruta, don’t know why, but haven’t
When I develop a plantar fasciitis case on the arch of my foot, it was
exercises that helped the most. I found them online. Very simple stretches.
And the recommendation to keep foot in a flexed position when sleeping so it
didn’t tighten up at night. My daughter has the same condition now and states
that in the morning it is very painful (due to tightness, constriction).
This sounds more Rhus tox like.
Also, look into magnesium deficiencies. There is a lot of that going around
these days. Mag affects the ligaments/tendons as I understand it. Nutrition
can be a real kickers—or the lack of it.
good luck

Does anyone have any knowledge of remedies for an acute plantar fasciitis which has just appeared in me while I was sat at my desk minding my own business!! I can’t walk on my right foot !! Just had the diagnosis confirmed at A&E!!
Tried to rep it and can’t find it. My sports books say Ruta and another says Phytolacca for the way mine is presenting so will probably take this. I did take an Arnica 200 when it started!!
Thanks

I have used potassium supplementation with repeated success. 400 mg to 600 mg of elemental potassium (preferably citrate or gluconate, as they are more bioavailable) daily. Recovery is usually pretty quick. This is also good for recurring charlie horses (muscle spasms) in the arch of the foot and/or the lower legs.

Hope this helps.

Ouch, I know what I feels like, I had a severe case almost 15 years ago now.
....tried every orthotic ever invented and some not yet invented.
Found ONE that worked better than the rest put together to help the pain while I used homeopathy
Called FABS, it's a very simple and un-bulky device to wear 24/7. It wraps around the instep/arch, with a pad for the arch, and closes with velcro.

The three cases I've seen, repped out differently, mainly due to triggering causes and/or mentals.
Rems were Sil (case including bone spurs which resulted from untreated fasciitis);
Aurum-met (serious mental precedents); and
I do not remember the last remedy now but it was a different remedy again (Ruta maybe?).

Rubrics were things like:
EXTREMITIES - EXOSTOSIS
EXTREMITIES - FEET; complaints of - Sole of
EXTREMITIES - LAMENESS - Feet
EXTREMITIES - WALKING - difficult
EXTREMITIES - PAIN - Feet - tearing pain
GENERALS - INFLAMMATION
GENERALS - PRESSURE - amel.
and so forth
plus the mentals.

In your case several modalities apply:
Sitting at a desk causes a stiff achilles tendon, and that can predispose an inflamed arch area (fascia) as a side effect. Worse rising/standing, after sitting, ...
Is your floor colder?
If you use a tendon (achilles) when it is cold, it will easily stay contracted and the tension is passed on to the foot fascia which then can injure and pull off the heel. So you may need to warm up your achilles and sole areas after sitting still a lot- *before* walking.
(Regular Stretches are good in general but only AFTER the area is warm.)
Hope you get yours repped to feel better soon. I'd include cause/modalities.

Namaste,
Irene

Am pleased to report that this morning I can walk on my foot no problem. It is as if the pain was not there yesterday!! I took 1 Phytolacca before bed. The problem was not actually in the heel but more the sole on the right side and on the top of the foot.
Thanks to all who have responded

Thanks Irene for that. I have been wearing orthotics for years in my sports
shoes and get them free from our National Health Service!!

Whatever this was last night it has completely gone today!! The Phytolacca
appeared to have done the trick!
