A question that will make a big discussion

Post by Nandana T. Pai »

Hi Group,
I of my friend today told that she ad to give her child viagra for 4
months.
She is my class mate. In the end of our course there was a lot of
tension. and she was pregnant ad unfortunately the first trimester was
the most tensed (we all were tensed ) ans she was a person who usually
get more tensed that us and she was so during this period also. The
deliver was c section due to leakage and 3 weeks before the due date.
child was normal but on the 48thd day it got a fit and when
investigation where made to find the cause it was understood that it was
due to a emboli and the formation was i heart there was a shunt in the
heart and doubted it as a tumor. So medication was given vigra
phenobarbion etc. later the shunt disappeared and and on the follow up
echo and x- ray it was found that there is cardiomegaly. It is told to
be as uhl's anomaly. The child is now 2 years old has no any symptoms.9
he didn not have any other that that fits. All the milestones normal.
Hyperactive , obsitate, aversion sweets.

Any comments.

Hi Nandana,

A few questions and remarks interspersed:
Were any remedies tried, either for mom's pregnancy or for the baby?
"... absence of the myocardial layer of the right ventricle," with
other malformations. Exceedingly rare, cause unknown, and surgery
(including transplant) is the only "cure".
Ouch.

My first comment is, this doesn't sound like anything that remedies
could be counted on to cure, but remedies can *certainly* help the
child, and at his age possibly more could be accomplished than we'd
expect. (What miasm? Syphilitic plus sycotic???)
?? Surely those are symptoms! Do you mean that he has no other
*physical* symptoms?
How about generals, sensitivities, behaviors, etc.?

I tried repping:
Activity, general, hyperactive (which is not a rubric I would trust
very far; I'm certain there are other remedies that ought to be there)
Obstinate
Aversion to sweets (this is *so* unusual in a child that I would
consider it important)

The three that come thru with my rep are Bell, Phos, Nux-v--tho a
fuller case might give other possibilities too.

Has he had any remedies yet?
Shannon

I have heard recently that Viagra is being used occasionally for children and adults with certain cardiac complaints - an unforeseen application according to researchers. Of course, it is probably not licensed for this use. But htejn there are plenty of instances for this.
