SPLIT DOSE / Was 6th Ed Prescribers

Dear Colleagues

Having read the exchanges I have concluded that the term SPLIT DOSE is
completely misleading. It should therefore NOT be used.

In homoeopathy, you cannot split a dose. Each dose stands or fails on its
own merit.

My understanding of the methods of prescribing is:

1- X or C Dry tablet

2- X or C Dry tablet dissolved in water and only one dose given until the
next consultation.

3- X or C Dry tablet dissolved in water and succussed and repeated as and
when assessed and deemed required - as in the treatment of acutes.

4- Q or LM remedies which is again on the same theme as 3 above.

Based on STRONG advise of Hn - for best effect a remedy should be repeated
ONLY when needed (not after a passage of some fixed number of hours) and its
potency through succussion should be changed - even if ever so slightly.

If you disagree with the above, please give references from the Organon 6th
Ed.
