As Ardavan pointed out, this is an error. A remedy can ONLY be
"homeopathic" to a case.
Giving a "dynamized" Pulsatilla to a case which needs Sulphur is NOT
giving a homeopathic remedy-- no matter how highly it is dynamized.
Giving a "dynamized" Pulsatilla to a case which needs Pulsatilla IS
giving a homeopathic remedy.
The remedy becomes homeopathic NOT by its manufacture but by its mode
of application.
"Dynamized" remedies are not, by themselves "homeopathic."
If we forget this definition, then white becomes black, and we have
no principles to work with. We forget the law of similars and start
working hit and miss as allopaths do.
Please respect and understand the use of the term "homeopathic." It
is VERY specific.

Dear Nanga,
'Homeopathic' treatment can be done by any agent,
event, crude material, music,... which induces a
similar dynamic derangement on body. This agent may
not be only dynamized remedies.
On the other hand, dynamized remedies can be used in
any method of treatment; homeopathy, allopathy,
antipathy,....
Kind regards,
Ardavan Shahrdar

Actually, a prescription can be homeopathic without involve a potentized
remedy! Potentization brings added strength and dimished risk of
side-effects, but isn't strictly necessary in itself.

I think these are ontological phrases otherwise practically homeopathy has its own pharmacopia and remedies are specifically prepared to treat cases in its own domain. For literary discussion it is OK. We have same drugs in allopathy, herbology, vedic and homeopathy. Why will not I use allopathic opium instead of homeopathic opium? And do all homeopathic remedies are always similar? Are not there clinical symptoms? If I have a cut with a knife on my finger and want a 'homeopathic treatment' with small blade to dig it little down to produce homeo effect will it not make blade the part of homeopractic (just an example). Without specifically prepared homeopathic remedies you can not stir up the homeopathic reaction, it is suppressive though in opposite direction. A remedy may be prescribed wrongly called homeo it does not undo the definition however it is an error. I respect your opinion but keep my own. And I have a bottle of cal crb from Standard and another Aconite from Dolisos and
all of them say Homeopathic. Should not these be called Nothing on top and cal carb?

Re: cancer
Dear Nanga,
I admit that potentized remedies are our best tools
for homeopathic prescription but for homeopathic
effect we do not necessarily need potentized remedies.
Hahnemann, at first, did not use dynamized remedies
for homeopathic prescriptions. It was years after
introducing the principles of homeopathy that he
started potentizing the remedies (an alchemic
technic!!) to purify the effect and minimize the
strong aggravating effects of crude remedies.
So I cannot agree with you when you say 'Without
specifically prepared homeopathic remedies you can not
stir up the homeopathic reaction ...'

Well, a homeopathic remedy can be used in a way which is homeopathic, or
not. If I use a hammer as a writing-desk (small, but flat!), does that mean
it isn't a hammer?
Also, remember the places in Oranon where H talks about using heat to
homeopathically treat a burn? He did indeed consider it "homeopathic", but
was certainly not a potentized remedy. Hahnemann did not consider that
potentized remedies were a *necessary* part of healing homeopathically --
only that that form is the easiest to manufacture, study, reproduce,
quantify, etc.
Somewhere I read a very nice case in which severe heart trouble had been
treated by several homepaths with this or that rememdy (sorry, wish I could
remember the details!), and the writer (some famous old homeopath guy)
re-took the case and saw that it simply *screamed* "digitalis", noted that
digitalis in potency had already been given (high, I believe), and gave it
again in material dose (the allopath's substance, but in a homeopathically
tiny dose), whereupon it cured quickly and smoothly. This write-up included
specific comment to the observation that homeopathicity does not necessarily
require potentized substance. Anyone remember the case, who wrote it???

A young child with a cough tried "homeopathic cough" and still the

So much for homeopathy not working.
As homeopaths, we have an obligation to not belive what the
government mandates to be on the bottle, and to educate our patients

Re: cancer
You can stir up the the reaction even with matching mechanical frequencies. That is how impedance match takes place for maximum energy transfer in electronics and you can score of examples in basic sciences. The point is 'it is homeo effect'. For homeopathy you need specifically made remedies for curative purposes. These are two different things we are arguing. Homeo effect can be achieved though they may not be curative, they may be palliative especially in chronic diseases. So please do not take me wrong. Effects can take place but for Pathy you need remedies.
