aliens
Hello all,
I am hoping someone can help to help someone else with a patient for whom:
"Aliens have always been here - some good, some bad (from different places).
She is not afraid of them.
By 2012 everyone will know they are here as they will show themselves to everyone.
Some bad entities (aliens?) sometimes come to her at night while she is in bed. She goes cold and feels a depression on her chest from them, and their breath on her face - they try to take over her but she resists.
Last week she received a letter which said all would be revealed to her next week (sounds like a circular or a chain letter to me!!) - she believes it was from another being because they said so many things which 'resonate' with her and 'which she identifies with' (bear in mind she is a subscriber to nexus, new dawn and a number of ufo groups) - they described lots of things which she felt (she was told not to disclose contednts of letter until later).
She has a great fear of ghosts.
She kept saying "I suppose...", when I asked her about things like if she felt she was chosen, or a messenger. I asked her why she said this and her response was that she was not sure, she was speculating."
I seem to remember a year or two ago there was some discussion about someone with alien issues. I no longer have the post & don't remember much about it.
Does anyone have any comments on how one would repertorise or capture the essence of the topic?
I know this woman, who is a Hom student and comes across as a very down-to-earth, no nonsense sort of person.
Thank you in advance,
Michele Graham.

Re: aliens
Dear Michele, it is quite hard to imagine someone who subscribes to the
concept of UFO's as being down to earth
However, you already have the fear of ghosts as a rubric. To this you could
add Fear of being approached.
If she really does believe she is chosen you could also include Delusion
superior - Platina has a delusion talking to ghosts and is well known for
its superior attitude.
There is also Delusion hears voices and there is a little sub rubric to this
that might link with the oppression she feels on her chest at night when
they come visiting = Delusion hears voices and that they are in the abdomen.
And if you add the fear of being approached then Thuja might resonate with
the whole case. Thuja certainly has much to do with being separated and
being visited, duality, lots of fixed ideas. Her lack of useful replies,
i.e. saying "I suppose" a lot also reminds me of the slowness of Thuja.
But you would probably need for from the case to confirm any rx.
Hope useful, Joy

Re: aliens
Hi Michele,
Without knowing her case, it is hard to speculate, but I know of a
similar experience
where the person became "paralysed" (she felt by a demonic force
wanting to possess),
and I believe from scientific research that they have identified this
phenomena (it's
name escapes me) as occurring when the person is in a semi-conscious
state; half-way
between asleep and awake. However, that might not be the case here,
so I've looked
at some possibilities in the repertory:
CERATO
He felt weighed down by an incubus.
PAEONIA
He says it helps women after childbirth, and such as are troubled
bedtime, is very
effectual for such as in their sleep are troubled with the disease
called Ephialtes, or
Incubus, but we do commonly call it the Nightmare: a disease which
melancholy
persons are subject unto. It is good against melancholy dreams.... "
THEA
Woke suddenly as from a struggle of incubus. Waking in night in
agitation (from
green tea after a hearty dinner), with oppression of head, sensation
of approaching
death, or sometimes he seemed dragged from the lowest abyss of
darkness back to the
world, from which during his paroxysm he felt himself gradually sink
RHUS TOX
Incubus at 1am after waking, with pain in occiput. Incubus, with
inability to move,
pressure on right upper part of chest, superstitious fear connected
with the supposed
presence and agency of some invisible, sly and malicious being.
or, on a more physical level only and forgetting the 'alien' bit :
C; Chest; Heaviness and fullness in the chest, as if he could not
expand the thorax (1)
: acon.
C; Chest; Felt as if something heavy were resting on the chest,
preventing a free
expansion of the chest (1) : iodof.
C; Chest; On breathing, feeling as if a heavy load on the chest (1) :
carbn-o.
C; Chest; Heaviness of the chest, as if a weight was lying upon it
(1) : phos.
C; Chest; Sensation of compression of chest as if from a heavy weight
(1) : asaf.
C; Chest; Pressure and heaviness on the chest as if from a weight (1)
: kali-bi.
C; Chest; Oppression of the chest as if he would suffocate (1) :
cann-i.
I; Incubus; A woke suddenly as if from a struggle of incubus (1) :
thea.
External Chest; Weight; on chest (6) : kali-bi., phos., sanic., sec.,
spong., stann.
External Chest; Weight; on chest, awakening him at night (1) : viol-o.
External Chest; Weight; heavy, on chest (4) : cact., phos., prun.,
zinc-val.
External Chest; Weight; compressed chest (1) : nux-v.
Anyway, some food for thought perhaps!
Perhaps if you did a search in the archives you might find the
previous posts ?

Re: aliens
Michele; I once had a case (when I was still a student of homeopathy)
where the young woman had delusions that she was abducted by aliens,
taken up in their space ship and impregnated. Then they would take her
baby away and send her back to earth. I don't have all the details of
the case, but I remember giving her cann-i which helped with the
delusions.

Not sure if it fits all the particulars, but thuja can have this sort
of "alien" imagery? Tamara's suggestion of cann-i sounds plausible,
too.
I'd be inclined to focus first on the rest of the case, her issues and
tendencies etc. in the rest of her life, and see whether the "alien"
them seems consistent with any of those thoughts, rather than using it
as a primary entry point, altho it is fascinating!

I agree with Shannon and others who have responded. Her mental emotional life in general and how the aliens figure in and how they affect her is what's important. When you think about it, aliens are not really and truly any more "far out" as a perception than many that seem more common, such as that a person can't find any friends or that one's child can do no wrong, just to mention a couple.
