Cat bites?

Thanks Chris, I'm giving Ledum a go. So far two doses 15 min apart,
*maybe* it's helping a bit--but can someone give thoughts about how
often I should plan to repeat, in absence of either an (?)appropriate
potency (have only 30c) or strong, clear response to judge by? It's
gotten very sore, very swollen, and yeah, making me a bit nervous...
(I'm also cramming down herbs etc.)

Extremely painful, red streaks up my arm, terrible swelling, fever. The doctor (a DO) took one look and said I had to go, needed IV antibiotics. I was sent to the surgeon the next day, and he opened it up and cleaned it out (it was my left pointer finger that got the worst bite). He said that in another 24 hours, the infection would have eaten the bone. BTW, this was my cat. I rescued him from a dog attack. He only bit because he was so scared. Normally he was quite calm.

Thanks Rosemary, I did try that earlier (blueness), but it too gave no
quick result... Tho the blueness seems less so *maybe* ledum has
helped a little, tho I really don't feel I'm on the right track yet...

I would use 200c potencies. I imagine Ledum most important,
Maybe later if much better elevated Vipera// Hope gets better soon. Jean

I'd repeat the Ledum, though in a higher potency. If that fails, take a
look at Vipera.

Of course, if bites like this have become infected in the past -- and you're
dead set against antibiotics -- you could be tested to see what bacteria are
involved and treat with the appropriate nosode.

Susan, very similar story to mine! I was in the hospital a little
longer than 2 weeks, 5 surgeries, as pseudomonas infection had
progressed to the bone. Came home with a Hickman into the heart for
6 more weeks of horrible IV antibiotics.

Cat bites are the *dirtiest* possible after human bites. However, my
case wasn't due to the actual bite but from bacteria entering the
site via the puncture.

After learning a bit about homeopathy, repeated incidences of very
similar bites haven't been a problem. (This is the best I can do for
anything close to resembling JW's time machine.) Ledum is the remedy
of choice.

Those I've known to use Arnica for cat bites seemed aggravated by
it. Hering says of Arn, Relationships....... Injurious after the
bite of a dog or any rabid or angry animal.

Probably not necessary but since I never want another hospital stay,
particularly for a cat bite, I also keep a wet pad of diluted
Echinacea MT on the wound(s) for 24 hours. An old wives tale is to
use a raw potato on the wound.

I saw 1 case successfully treated while a student with
HEPAR 200c several doses a day until it cleared up.
Improvment was significant overnight and the wound
was down to a little scab in 5 days.
