Diabetec Impotency

We have a patient of 57 years of age with five children. He had
diabetes some 9 years ago and is now on `insulin' for the last 5
years. He had been a man of sex. He has now gone impotent, possibly
because of diabetes, for the last 4 years. He is otherwise active,
stout and healthy.
Any suggestions, comments and / or treatment?
