Digest Number 1901/boenninghausen

Some of you see the Boenninghausen approach as a 'simple' method --
therefore only suited to simple cases. I'm not sure that follows...
It's true we have many more pollutants around today but the ones they
had in the 19th century were, arguably, more powerful... eg, large
doses of mercury, lead, antimony, adulterated beers, etc, in a way
that is legislated against today.

Hear hear! When I hear people referring to the 19th century as if it were
some sort of bucolic idyll I wonder what part of the world they live in.
Hahnemann's world was a world of smog, arsenic in the wallpaper, lead in the
strawberry jam, toxic medical treatment etc and the epidemics where
homeopathy showed its colours were in slums the like of which we don't see
in London or Paris now.
