torn miniscus

When you speak of torn connective tissue, might this include a torn
miniscus in the knee? I am trying to avoid surgery and wonder if the
Symphytum or Ruta mentioned might heal it...?

I can tell you that some serious tendon and ligament damage in knees
has been rendered at least symptom-free and resolved non-surgically in
dogs. I can't say which remedy for sure, and I believe there was a
chronic component to some cases as well. I would say read, and see if
it fits. "Might" is a good word...
