A complicated case of Eczema

Post by shiraz »

Hello,
Anybody over there can tell me about a follow up in a case of eczema which was successfully ameliorated for a long time with graphites and later was given sepia for a period of 11 months as the symptoms pointed towards that afterwards espescially the thickening of the skin. But now the symptoms are glutinous discharge, cracks in the old skin again, chilliness of feet (very prominent). The patient is a 23 yr old girl who was treated with allopathy for about 18 yrs and then came to me. She had severe aggravation when she was given Graphites 1 Mhe first time but later the aggravations became lesser and lesser and then there was only thickening of skin left when she was shifted to Sepia 1 M based on symptom similarity. She responded well with Sepia and the thickening was very much reduced. But to my dismay now again the old Graphites symptom appear. Any comment would be much appreciated.

Hi Shiraz,

Can you give any details about how frequently she took the doses (were both
graphites and sepia given in 1M?) and what other effects were seen in
addition to improvement in the skin?

Were there M/E or other symptoms also? Any other things that either
improved or failed to improve unexpectedly? What is her situation and
condition aside from the eczema? Do you have a sense of whether her
*overall* case has changed, or has everything returned to just the way it
was before the first dose?
