James Randi www.randi.org
offers a million dollar prize for "proof of the
paranormal."
For homeopathy all Randi said:
"
"I don't require clinical proof that homeopathy
"works," or that it's proven true or false. I only
require that they can tell the
difference between ordinary water and homeopathic
water -- by any means they choose: biological,
chemical, physical, anything."
Seems that someone could win the money and get fame.

Re: James Randi challenge
Yeah, it does, doesn't it?
Trouble is, Randi's a fraud and his intentions aren't about scientific
inquiry--just denunciation of homeopathy.
Every year someone starts this conversation up, and someone gets suckered
into dealing with Randi.
If you decide to do this, please keep the discussion you have with
Randi--and Randi and his sycophants--away from this list.
Regards,
Nancy

Re: James Randi challenge
John Benneth has dealt extensively with Randi for years and has taken the
'Randi challenge'
only to discover that Randi is, as he puts it, a fraud. John would
gladly fill in anyone who asks.

Randi is a magician and anything he has his had in he manages to tamper with by sleight of hand as it were. This is well known and therefore dealing with Randi is a waste of effort. A lot of people have tried it. Why do you think he is sooo confident about offering all that money!!! To me this is a very much Off Topic discussion. Look back in the archives if you wish to know more!!

Re: James Randi challenge
One way to silence Randi is to offer a return reward
if he can prove homeopathy does'nt work. Put his game
back on him. When the onus of proving is on him that
trickster will back off never to return.

A good idea, except that apparently we are playing with a stacked deck.
(Their stacking, not ours!)
