Brian Deer has had some sort of bizarre vendetta against Andrew Wakefield.
No one involved can understand why.

"These allegations have been made by journalist Brian Deer who has
expressed, in front of witnesses, his aim of destroying me. "

And the statement made about the upcoming show......
""In 1998 Dr Andrew Wakefield claimed to have identified a possible link
between the MMR vaccine and autism in children. These events engendered a

So, maybe they will hang themselves. Won't know till the show comes out.

It's not the first time Brian Deer has written about vaccines - you can see
what he has written about one of the Aids vaccines on his website

He relishes being the investigative journalist that allegedly uncovers this
and that. On top of this Channel 4 like to lean towards this without getting
facts correct and Dispatches has a long history of being incorrectly
inflammatory, tantamount to sabotage in some cases. Comically you can make a
useful anagram out of Brian Deer's name - 'a red brine' - much the same as a
red herring in my book

Hi Joy, Sheri,

Add to that the "Horizon" series ... having James Randi as principal
'quack-buster' and debunker of homeopathy. Many of my colleagues
wrote to try and set the record straight. Unfortunately, as with the
newspapers, the masses tend to believe what they see and hear ...
Television is a powerful medium now.

I don't doubt for a minute that the Dispatches programme will be another
'hatchet job' - the only people not doing that are Channel 5, with their
series on serious disorders (eg. Tourettes, Dissociative Disorder, etc.).

It seems that, as always, money and power speaks loudest. Fortunately
there are always the few more enlightened souls, but as you can see from
above, they are relegated to the less popular channels. (My apologies to
other nationalities who won't know to what I am referring).
