Bush's constitutional remedy (was Bush is beyond adoubt Veratrum A)

Post by Ellen Madono »

Dear Sarcastic Homeopaths,

I hesitated to say this because I really dislike Bush too. However, I feel that there is a danger in making an unsympathetic stereotype about anyone using homeopathic remedies. I know it is partly a joke and partly letting off steam, but if you don't know the complexity of homeopathic prescription, you might think that homeopaths use a remedy to categorize people. After I first read the literature, I was sure that I would never like an Arsenicum or a lycopodium In real life I was surprised to find that I have liked most of my lycopodiums and arsenicums. As a homeopath, I sympthize with their problems. Currently I am taking lycopodium etc. Certainly homeopathic prescription is never used to poke fun of anyone. This is supposed to be a list for professionals, but me included, not everyone is.

Blessings,
Ellen

Hi Ellen,

I'm not sure everyone is using prescribing abilities as a means to poke fun
(I know I didn't, and I'd still give Bush a big fat dose of lycopodium
because I think it's what he needs. I hate what he's involved in and what
he's creating and how he's creating it...but if he were my patient, I would
do whatever it took to understand him). I don't like all my patients and
some patients tell me things about themselves which make me cringe...but I
still do the work-ups with as little bias as possible.
There are quite a few people who are working up Bush's remedy here with the
same intentions.

Nancy
