sucking on metal

Post by tumla »

Hi All

I have a client, three year old boy, who lves to suck on metal, like nails,
screwdrivers etc.
I can't find any reference in my repertories.
Wonder if the group could help.

Thanks
Tumla

Could this be Pica? Or maybe he is lacking nutritionally in iron?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I have a two yrs old tommy cat,
(with his only sibling sister)
who also likes to chew on all kinds
of metal objects, windowhandels,
nails on the wall, hinges etc.
I took him last May to a homoeopath
vet who gave him Ferr-sulph.
I know this isn't a solution for anything,
just informing as an exemple.
His sis isn't keen on hardware tho,
on the contrary, she herself is more
like malleable.

What's the material? Iron? Aluminum? Might be one clue to plug into a case analysis of the totality... Rosemary

There are also rubrics for desiring inedibles:

GENERALITIES - PHENOMENA - FOOD and drinks - indigestible things - desires

abies-c.bg ALUM.k alumn.k AUR.st bell.k BRY.b CALC.k CALC-P.k cic.b con.st CYCL.hr ferr.st ign.bro LACH.st nat-m.st NIT-AC.b NUX-V.b psor.bg SIL.b sulph.gk TARENT.bg

It's interesting that both Aluminum and Ferrum are in the above rubric.
GENERALITIES - PHENOMENA - FOOD and drinks - strange things, desires

alum.bro atri.bro BRY.k CALC.bro,k CALC-P.k carb-v.bro CHEL.k cic.ptk CYCL.k HEP.k LYS.k,zzz mag-c.k,zzz MANC.k rheumptk sep.bro ter.kr

Thank you Rosemary, the remedy selection is very helpful.
At the moment this little boy is in a Tarent/Stram phase.

Can't help but wonder about a mineral deficiency. Maybe a
mineral/trace mineral supplement?
