Re Molluscum Contagiosum
Molluscum contagiosum is endemic (epidemic?) round here and I must be a
world expert by now.
It does look sycotic and I have used Thuja, silica, sulphur and, yes,
medorrhinum 200 weekly ....there really does not seem to be one solution and
although we usually manage to shorten the predicted course of the disease to
weeks or months rather than years I have yet to find a magic pill that works
every time ( not actually surprised at that though!) Recently someone told
me Ladyfern 'always worked'. I used it, on a brother and sister ( brother
was stubborn case and we had been through everything else that seemed
possibly indicated) and, amazingly the brother's case cleared instantly and
the sister's dwindled slowly but, I believe there are still a couple left.
The mentals of the remedy, I am told, can be poor concentration at school
and lack of confidence and, in fact I have noticed that symptom in this and
several other cases in the past.
I now have a couple of other children on this remedy. One had a severe
behaviour/ concentration aggravation and we are still waiting to see what
happens to the warts.
Coincidentally, this last week I saw my first case of adult MC. Clustered
round the groin it had obviously been transmitted through sexual contact.
One wart had turned into a boil and that is what I have been treating so
far. This might be a case for Medorrhinum, I suppose. In this instance the
fellow was offered the option of having them frozen off when the infection
cleared. (Incidentally, it is worth remembering that rampant MC can be
development of AIDS).
As someone else has said, no treatment is offered to young children here.
One local GP suggests the squeezing idea and I mentioned it to a couple of
the mum's but even that didn't help, in fact I think the children fiddling
with open warts actually spread them worse than before.There usually seems
to be one that gets red and angry and turns into a boil, in my experience.
Isn't it odd how one practitioner can have a failsafe solution to a problem
and it just doesn't work for anyone else? Either they are generalising from
a too small sample or the energy that goes into the prescribing is doing the
business rather than the remedy.

What is the remedy Lady Fern for MC you mentioned as I have never heard of it.
