Dear Colleagues

I must thank you much for the responses you have sent. As someone who has
never smoked cannabis I have no personal experience of the matter so your
first hand experiences were useful. I guess you inhaled Julian!!

This boy is a relatively shy lad but at the same time he is in trouble at
school and is on his last warning before he is expelled. He has been rude to
teachers and is a disruptive element in class.

He is tallish - I would say about 6 ft (180 cm).
As far as anaemia is concerned, I do not think so because he has a very
flushed face. However, mother's observation was that if stood up quickly he
would go pale.

This core symptom came out accidentally! When he had filled his form with
his details his height info was missing - I asked him what his height was
and he said he did not know! So I asked him to stand up for me and he got up
like an old person with arthritis - ever so slow. He is very embarrassed by
this - especially if people mention it. It took him ages to get up to go to
the toilet for example. He first moved slowly to the edge of the seat and
then slowly and hesitantly got up. Flushing red at the same time.

Has also had nose bleeds since the cannabis episodes.

Dear Soroush, is there a general slowness to the boy's movement by any
chance and what are the sx like when he rides in a car or bus for example?

PS: However it might not cover the 'seeing colours' aspect, but could it
be a variation of 'seeing black' and feeling faint on rising ?

Dear Soroush, what seems to be interesting here is the almost contradiction
within the fact that he seems very embarrassed about what he's been doing
but he also has some behavioural issues at school, enough to be threatened
with expulsion - somehow these don't sit together very comfortably with me
and I would explore that further.

Some have already mentioned Ferrum, which tend to be very excitable, nervous
and irritable which could cover the school behaviour and the big keynote
with Ferrum is >>> for moving a round very slowly. I was thinking along the
lines of Gelsemium but it doesn't really have the haemorrhagic tendencies
but it does have NBWS drug overdose and this might be a useful rubric to
use. The other remedy that comes to mind, in a similar fashion, is Ipecac,
which is haemorrhagic, also NBWS drugs, irritable comtemptuous, hard to
please - again this might fit the school behaviour - also lots of visual
disturbances, <<< motion, redness about the face, would cover the violent
sickness he had when he first smoked the cannabis and there is fainting.

Hi Soroush,

I would say that, if you take a thorough case and see some other remedy
indicated, definitely give that! But if not, why not start him with cann-i
in 6 or 12 (daily or every few days, as indicated by his response) and *see*
how far it can take him? Have you taken the full case yet, for curiosity?
