John Kerry, Homeopathy, and Alternative Medicine

Friends,
I realize that none of us want this list to discuss the details of the
American Presidential election, but I do think that it is appropriate for us
to discuss the candidates' interest in homeopathy and alternative medicine.
Needless to say, neither candidate has said and will say anything about
homeopathy. However, one of John Kerry's oldest and closest friends today
is David Thorne. David is a friend of mine who started, owned, and just
sold Dr. Andrew Weil's HEALTH AND HEALING newsletter. David has a very
special interest in and appreciation for alternative medicine, and I know
that several members of the inner team working with Kerry has a similar
appreciation...and it is interesting to note that Andy Weil just wrote a
fabulous article about the value of homeopathy in October issue of
PREVENTION (Andy has also written backcover quotes on 2 of my books).
It is clear that John Kerry will give alternative medicine strong
support. If someone has any evidence that Bush did or will provide strong
support, I'm open to hearing it, though it certainly has not been apparent
during these past four years.
