I have just found a rubric I would like explaining which is in Plumbum.
What is a "Repelled eruption" as opposed to a "suppressed eruption"?

Rubric understanding
Re: Rubric understanding
I would say it means the prophylactic use of lead and the resulting symptoms
- repelling meaning to keep away.

Re: Rubric understanding
my guess is that it means an eruption that has been treated without
consideration for the deeper condition as in suppression
There are heaps of references to it in the literature for quite a few rems
".....chronic diseases that have been caused by some eruptive disease
repelled from the surface,........"
but here is the one for Lead from Clarke
"In the form of plaisters and "Goulard water" the salts of lead have been
largely used as external applications in skin diseases, vaginal and urethral
injections, and much injury has not infrequently resulted, especially from
repelled eruptions. "

Re: Rubric understanding
Repelled eruption by connotation would be similar to suppressed
eruption, but supressed BEFORE actual vent to surface established.
