hysteria

Post by isali ben-jacob »

homeopathically I would seek to differentiate between a grief driven by
sadness and grief driven by trauma. I would infer one is the result of
a deficiency while the other is the result of a condition of excess. I
would likely apply Ign. for a deficient grief and staph. for an excess
grief. In oriental medicine we would consider this to be a shen
(spiritual) disturbance generally a result of deficient blood energetics
of the H system. The herbal remedy would be gan mai da zao tang.
Acupuncture applied to the extraordinary vessel system would prove to be
effective; specifically the yang qiao system.

Dear All:

I find Isali's remarks very interesting. I learnt from the late Dr. Pierre
Schmidt one of my dear homeopathic teachers that it is very helpful to
observe the pupils of the patient .

1.)A flattening of the right pupil at 12 o clock signifies either that the
patient has had a recent big grief, that he is ruminating and wishes to say
nothing to anyone or that he has problems all day long with his boss or his
employees and he ruminates about this all the time.If the flattening is
very marked it could it could mean a desire for suicide in a non violent
method (Poison, gas , drowning, drugs, etc.);these patients do not desire to
be disfigured.

2.)A flattening of the left pupil at 12 o clock however means a desire for
suicide by violent means ( jumping in front of a train, using a revolver,
etc). These are angry people who suffer from vexations, suppressed
indignations, ( and who often pick fights with anyone)--- Translated from
Comptes Rendus des Reunions; Quatrieme Serie Nos. 1,2 3.

I hope this helps us in furthering our understanding. I think of Ign. in
1.) and of Aur. and Staph. in 2.). Have others made any observations of this
kind with the pupil.
