No Shannon- not even like that. I have never given combinations in
the middle of regular homeopathic treatment.I used it in my allopathy
clinic instead of using antibiotics. These were not my homeopathic
patients. This is for people who came for allopathic drugs and
instead got a mixture of some selected homeo medicines for some
selected conditions. Did I know my homeopathy to prescribe single
medicines for these people? Yes. These are not my regular homeo
clients and they may or may not come for a regular follow-up. As I
mentioned they are poor and are not motivated for a classical homeo
prescription.

They would have scoffed at homeopathy in fact. These are the people
who get duped by some unscrupulous doctors with a series of vitamin
shots and drips. They would have ended up getting a mixture of anti
histamines, paracetamol and a steroid to bring their fever down at
the quickest. I was saving them from a worse fate than taking
combinations. That is how I view it. I could definitely say that
they were not any worse off than had they been given steroids and
antibiotics. Since I passed out of one of the prestigious medical
inst. of our state, I guess I am qualified at least for knowing that
much. From all this hue and cry here I guess I am the only black
sheep in this list... I feel like bleating and reading my Organon one
more time.
And thanks to the efforts of the list members who are attempting to
tell me that in acutes homeopathy is fast. I have a lot of experience
in treating acutes and chronics with the single medicine. Since
single medicine is the second most important tenet after law of
similars I can understand the turmoil. In fact one member even lost
his sense of professional and list decency...All in a day's work I
guess.

You're right. The purists must realise that mixtures are marketed by major
firms now and people are out there looking - both for them and also a way of
avoiding allopathic medicine.
Just think of them as a way of bridging the gap of belief between the
concept of symptom suppression and wanting a wellness outcome. Check our
