Re: Homoeopathy
Sure, when it comes to the time of proving, we will submit our remedy to
which ever lab you would like it sent to.
Please let me have your full address so that we arrange pre-proving
assessments and symptom collection.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating!
Wish you health and wisdom

Re: Homoeopathy
Dear Charles
The number of volunteers from your group is still too small. Can you
encourage them to join you?
The remedy used will be 12C or greater.
Hahnemann found that by increasing the dilution and potentisation the
remedies were acting deeper.
I only used Av's number to assure you that you will not be taking any crude
poisons.
Dr Hahnemann discovered the homoeopathic effect from doing an experiment
using the extract from what we call the Peruvian Bark or Cinchona
officinalis.
Dr Cullen (Scottish) had reported that the Peruvian Indians would stew the
bark and then take the extract if they ever suffered from Malaria. Dr
Cullen thought this effect was due the extreme bitterness of the extract.
When Dr Hahnemann read this he realised that this was nonsense. He had
experienced even more bitter substances that had had no effect against
malaria.
Do not forget that he was a medical doctor already and had extensive
knowledge of pharmacy. Indeed his works on pharmacopoeia are still as valid
as they were then. Homoeopathy is taught to a degree at most medical schools
in Germany.
So he experimented on himself and became ill quite quickly with
perspirations, headache, shivering, chill and symptoms VERY similar to that
of malaria. To the degree that he thought he had contracted malaria.
However the symptoms passed quickly when he stopped taking the extract..
He repeated this experiment many times all with the same effect.
He then tried this substance on all his family members and friends and
observed them all together. He then realised that they were all producing
malaria type symptoms. This is when he realised that the bark extract was
effective because it produced in the healthy a similar set of symptoms to
the malaria patient. He then coined the Latin phrase similia similibus
currantor or similar cures similar.
He then started working on other substances and carried out his provings on
other 'crude' (undiluted) substances and soon he faced a major problem.
Let us assume that you have patient with a severe case of diarrhoea. To
treat them homoeopathically you would need to give them a substance which
would create the state of diarrhoea in the healthy. Nonetheless, the
patient's diarrhoea could get much worse before it got better. In some
cases this could push the patient beyond the point of no-return.
This is probably when he decided that he would dilute his medicines to
reduce this adverse effect. He then discovered that the ability to cure was
not lost by dilution, but became even stronger.
The cures I have seen with my own eyes you won't believe until you have seen
them yourself and until you have experienced the effects of the proving for
which you have kindly volunteered.
But one thing is for certain, from the proving you WILL become sick. And
you will have to sign disclaimers etc which I am trying to organise.
We will answer further questions when you have experienced Homoeopathy first
hand!

Soroush

Dear Piet
You wrote/quoted "Syphilis was the response to printing and
industrialization."
A woman's skeleton was found in a grave not from us in Essex England dating
to late 1200's with signs of Syph.
So please let me know how Syph could be in response to Printing and
Industrialisation when at that time there was no printing and or
industrialisation?
Then you say "AIDS has been the response to the stresses induce by
electronic media."
If that is the case, we should observe that most people using electronic
media are suffering from Aids. We DO NOT. Most people in the affluent
countries using electronic media are not suffering from aids. The people who
do suffer from Aids have been infected through sexual transmission,
contaminated needles and surgical instruments or bloods transfusions. Also
the people suffering from Aids in Africa have NO CONTACT with electronic
media but fall in the same category of the suffers in the West.
Based on the above I have lost confidence in this book.

Hi Simon,
Peter Fraser wrote an interesting book: 'The AIDS Miasm
Contemporary Disease and the New Remedies':
Technological advances, particularly advances in communication technology,
create stresses in the vital balance of human beings. These stresses are
countered by symptoms, diseases that match the original stresses.
In some circumstances the new technology is so significant that it brings
about a major shift in our understanding of the world. These major shifts
are answered by a myriad different diseases but one, venereal disease
encompasses the spirit of them all. These are the main miasmatic diseases.
Psora was the response to speech and tools;
Sycosis was the response to writing and the wheel;
and Syphilis was the response to printing and industrialization.
In our own time AIDS has been the response to the stresses induce by
electronic media.
Miasmatic remedies are ones that correspond to some part of the diseases
that arise from the dynamic stresses, not just ones that are used to treat
the miasmatic disease itself.
When we have acclimatized to technological change and found a new balance
the stresses involved in maintaining that balance are different and a new
set of semi miasmatic diseases arise.
The Hydrophobic or Acute Miasm corresponds to settled Psora;
the Tubercular to settled Sycosis
and the Cancer to settled Syphilis.
It is too early to be sure about what settled AIDS will be but there are
indications that it may correspond to a CJD/Alzheimer's Miasm.
As each individual replays the evolution of both his species and his
culture. So it follows that the individual may be particularly affected by
the stresses of a particular point in his development. This may be a very
specific point or it may be more general and miasmatic.
By looking at the combined pattern of the stresses, the nosode and the
remedies that appear to belong to the miasm it is possible to form a picture
of the miasm as a whole. Using proving symptoms to describe that picture
ensures that they are described in the language of the remedies and allows
some understanding of the slight differences between remedies when dealing
with very similar issues.

Re: Homoeopathy
There is one way of looking at things which sees mostly cause and
effect and another which sees things as being synchronous. (even in
their apparent causality)
I think a lot of the theory re miasms takes the former view, and as you
have pointed out this can be problematic.
I also think some things which although being synchronous have their
place (job) to appear causal for those that use that way of thinking

Re: Homoeopathy
I must agree completely with Soroush here.
This is NOT properly researched at all.
Remember Syphilis is DESTRUCTIVE.
It affects/can affect the Nervous system, Brain, Bones, Mental and Emotional
States.
It contains SEVERE PHOBIAS and NEUROTIC BEHAVIOUR WITH/WITHOUT ANXIETIES.
Electronic media may have a role to play in Brain disorders and mental and
emotional states, but it is not related to Electronic media.

Re: Homoeopathy
Dear Prof Roy
Thank you for your article which was published in the Guardian yesterday.
The magician Randi has offered 1 million dollars for any one who can
demonstrate Homoeopathy and of course based on the lecture you gave you
indicated that you were able to distinguish between remedies and also at
different potencies.
Why not go for this 1 million dollar prize money. Once Randi et al have had
to pay out this money, then hopefully they will think twice.
Additionally, I have challenged any one who does not believe in the power of
highly diluted potentised substances to take part in a reproving.
A simple reference to Homeopathic Materia Medica would show the range of
strong symptoms that they can genetrate. Sadly no volunteers as yet!
I wish you the best for the New Year.
Kind regards

Re: Homoeopathy
Dear Ben
Your symptoms would hopefully be temporary. I would give you an antidote when the symptoms you have produced have been fully logged and signed off by an independent witness and yourself.
If as you say homoeopathic remedies are just sugar and nothing placebo, then you have nothing to worry about.
If you suspect that they may have some power, then you have to sort your logic and stance

Dear Prof Colquhoon
Thank you for your quick response.
I am based in Essex.
I am at this stage looking for volunteers.
I will draw up a comprehensive protocol, which perhaps with your in put can be refined so that its results would be scientifically acceptable.
