phosphorus and phosphoricum acidum -hat is the difference?

Post by gailz059 »

Hello,

Here is my technical question. I am looking at two remedy
descriptions, phosphorus acidum and phosphorus.

Which one wold be appropriate for great thirst for cold chocolate
milk? I looked on a minitus website that had a description for P.A.
but not for phosphorus from the MM Pura. I have a boericke refernce
that I am reviewing now. The P.A. remedy entry from boericke
says "great thirst for cold milk". Would this include cold chocolate
milk? Would PA be appropriate as well? The Boericke does not
indicate it is but it is only one reference.

Thanks,

Gail

Hi Gail,

There are some great online reference materials here
http://www.homeoint.org

You might like to read Phos & Phos-ac in the Boger/Boenninghausen MM

Here is the rubric in the Synthesis repertory:

GENERALS - FOOD and DRINKS - milk - desire - cold
adlu.;1 apis;2 bar-ox-suc.;1 carc.;1 kola;1 lac-cp.;1 med.;1
moni.;1 ozone;1 ph-ac.;1 phel.;1 phos.;2 rhus-t.;2 sabad.;1
sacch.;1 sanic.;1 staph.;1 streptoc.;1 tub.;2

The totalities for these two remedies are quite distinctive. It could help to look at other symptoms and decide based on a broader symptom set??

Hello,

Thanks to all who answered my question. I am going to look through
the references that were provided, not only to find out about the two
remedies in question, but also to educate myself more fully before I
return with more questions.

We work with a wonderful homeopath who is leaving the east coast to
locate on the west coast. We will continue to work with him even
though he has decided to relocate. Because he is relocating I feel
that I have to learn more about homeopathy (more than the amount that
I have picked up over the last 2.5 years of working with him)so that
I can effectively relay symptoms to him remotely.

Thanks again for the information,

Gail

You might also consider a dairy cum chocolate allergy/addiction combined
with hypoglycaemia and adjust diet accordingly plus zinc and chromium
supplement (if it's in your belief system)
