Destroying a remedy that spilled on my desk

Hello,

I accidentally spilled on the top of my desk - half a glass of water which contained a remedy (natrum carb. 6c).

I want to destroy the potency.

The desk is made of wood and is very heavy and big, so it can not be taken out and exposed to the sun to destroy the potency that stuck to the desk.

Do you have any advice what to do?

Spraying with a solution of peppermint, eucalyptus essential oil - should do it!! Or maybe spill a mug of black coffee on it!!
