If there was any sensitivity to light I would wonder about Stramonium.
I agree it is a problem with keeping boundaries. Here I think of
Carcinosum,Med,and Phos.,but all the struggling in the dreams and no one
helping ,the sleepwalking,??/Stram, Jean

Re: 2 puzzles
Dear Group
Thank you all for the help with these 2 puzzles.
In studying the suggestions I think you are right Andy, Jean might have
hit on the right remedy Strammonium for daughter #1. Thank you Jean.
"but all the struggling in the dreams and no one helping ,the
sleepwalking,??/Stram."
I refered to Paul Herscu's book on Strammonium He says:
"That there are so many sleep symptoms is not surprising for it is
during sleep and in the process of drifting off to sleep, that the
conscious mind finally relinquishes control and the unconscious mind
takes over. It is here in the night that every held in check during the
day will finally be expressed. The battle-line between conscious and
unconscious, so carefully drawn throughout the day, shifts during the
night, as one side loses its ability to fight and the other gains in
power......In some ...the transition is neither smooth nor short.."
So it would appear that she is stuck in between 2 stages and exhibits
brain patterns and behaviour of both the sleep state and the waking
state.
Daughter #2 Also seems to fit the description of Stram. but I see a lot
of symptoms from Aeth. that Venkat suggested. I will do more studying
and when she phones will have confirming questions ready.
I can't believe how subjective I had become and how I had fallen into
the trap of prejudging a remedy, in this case Stramonium. Guess there
is a lesson in humility here!

Hi Andy,
You wrote:
"They are part of the case, but don't know if we have heard the whole
skinny on what these daughters have as issues (?)
Daughter #1 (Kirstin) has ADD and has responded well to Helleborous as
well as extended time in school to do exams and plenty of EFA in her
diet. No problems with self-confidence anymore as she is presently
excelling in school and has just been accepted into graduate school.
I feel that Stram. Is probably a good fit for her based on the reasons
given in previous post., The verdict is still out on daughter #2. That
said, I read Herscu last night and he mentions hierarchy of remedies.
Stramonium seems to be a doorway in Phase 3. Kirstin does suffer from
ADD and has responded in the past to Helleborous which according to
Herscu's hierarchy of remedies is in Phase 4. So I am assuming/hoping
we are on the right track and the movement is going in the right
direction.
Carc. and Phos.have also come up, however with Carc. the timing just
did not feel right and I feel it is deeper than Phos. Again refer to
the Herscu model Carc. falls into Phase 2. and Phos. Falls into Phase 1.
If I feel that a sleeping giant is emerging I will definitely pass the
case on to an objective homeopath.
Daughter #2 (Ashley) has ADHD and has responded to Anac. She did have
self-fconfidence issues mostly because of her age, and the fact that she
had no diagnosis and felt she was "stupid". The anac. took care of the
"feeling stupid" aspect and maturity is also contributing nicely to
balancing her out. Again the extended time in school and diet
contributed her self-confidence as she is going to university on a
scholarship. This all happened before camp so she is on a "high". She
doesn't seem to exhibit anymore "abnormal" self-confidence problems. I
am still working on her case but now I feel a little more objective and
will know what confirmatory questions to ask. Thanks for all of your
help,
Johanna
