I have to admit that I wonder what are the snakes or other animals in the
forest doing, when being bitten by a tiger or some other animal as well! Suppose
they probably recover and cope without anything. Let's keep the church in the
village!
Kind regards, Dr.medic. Viorel V. Bucur (www.dr-bucur.com).

Hi Dr.M. Irfan Qureshi,
Yeah, it's normal for snakes to try to bite (just like any wounded animal)
but garter snakes are non poisionous & their bite is about like being
scratched by a briar. They do not normally even draw blood since their teeth are so
tiny. I do appreciate your concern though.
thank you!

I hold high regards for any animal, wether it be a snake or a cat. It is not
in my nature to sit by & watch any animal suffer. Snakes & other animals in
the wild either become food or manage to survive when they are bitten by
another. The difference is this one was attacked by a cat (not a natural preditor) &
was on my front walkway (not in the forest). Had one of the hawks in the woods
gotten to it first it would have been lunch for the hawk. But I couldn't just
step over it & go about my business. Guess I'm just odd that way
lol..
