Dear List members

This post was not sent by me and I have no explanation as to its
mischievious appearance.
I'm as upset by its appearance as any of you may be!

mystified

Presumably it's just another of those virus thingies. (Can't we sue the
stupid hijacker, or at least pelt him with rotten tomatos???)

I agree :-)
It's so emabarrassing to have something like this happen. What was sent
under my name was bad enough and I shudder to think it could have been
worse!

It could have been anything at all!!! "My" name has been sending all sorts
of viruses to all sorts of folks I never heard of. The only reason I know
is that periodically I get "bounce" notices, letting me know that "my" post
of undeliverable (the lucky non-recipient already closed mailbox) or that
"my" post has been stripped of a virus, and I should check "my" computer for
viri. (My actual computer is quite clean.) I don't even read them anymore,
but it does *gall* that this sort of fraud and "identity theft" can't be
stopped, and can't be prosecuted. (I'm generally not a litigious or
vindictive sort of person, but there are times...)

Ah well, back to the philosophical attitude...
:-P

HI Shanon:

It's not your problem. Almost all the times is your ISP who can't have the real protection (but, if you let someone use your PC, or you enter your e-mail from a Cybercafe), then someone has found your address and is using it. Spamers don't need anything else. They copy your addres en the head of email and ¡zoom! Solution.
If they catch you, it not your PC, not ISP, not Yahoo, none can help you. Change your address. Or pray nobady return using it!
