anthrax, small pox

Post by ForumGal »

Friends,
jdurfeeathome@aol.com wrote below, quoting some prophylactic info on
small pox and anthrax. One of the sources mentioned was Boericke.
Also in Boericke, his Therapeutic Index (p 995-1011) suggests echinacea
for anthrax on p.996, and ant.tart and saracen. for variola (which I assume
is small pox?) on p.1011. Just thought this might be helpful. Margaret

Dear Group:
You can find ant-t and sarr, in Kent Repertory (or Synthesis or Radar)under
SKIN, Eruptions, smallpox . It is discussed in Clarke Dictionary vol 3, and
also in Grimmer: Collected Works (available from Minimum Price or from
ancurrim@earthlink.net for $50 plus postage). Clarke gives a wonderful
description of its Characterestics, well worth reading. It promises to be a
great remedy for bioterrorism attacks with small pox . One should also read
the other remedies. I remember as a child of age 9 of seeing a case of
smallpox cured rapidly of the eruption with a few doses of thuja 200 (in a
few days).

I also saw a case of polio in a baby of 6 months age diagnosed by one of the
best pediatrician's in Bombay( who felt helpless; but was very open to
homeopathy). The parents called Dr A. C. Das , a homeopath, who also made
the diagnosis of polio. While wondering what remedy to give; God was very
kind to the child and the doctor and made the baby very annoyed. Dr. Das
seized this wonderful opportunity of the child's anger and asked the mother
to console the child. The child became even more angry and Dr. Das had his
remedy (page 2R Kent: Anger, consolation, agg.) 2 or 3 tiny pellets of Nat-m
1M were given and both physicians waited 20 minutes and to their amazement
the baby started moving and was quite well the next day from that single
dose (1949).One learns the power of the similimum, and also Kent's teaching,
from his lecture on Nat-m, that a deep acting remedy can also act in an
acute disase.

These cases show the importance of individualization in homeopathy.

Kind regards
Ahmed N. Currim, MD
