Hi all,
I was trying to remember things I'd read and been told in the past regarding
treatment of severe mental disease. In my computer I find a fascinating and
in-depth article detailing the author's experiences with treating
schizophrenia, which I downloaded 10+ years ago from a list which I believe
is now dead. I don't show an e-mail address for the writer, and the only
name I have attached is "Les" -- so I can't contact the writer to ask for
permission.
So what do I do? Is it verboten to post it here? Or, can I summarize and
excerpt, giving what vague credit I'm able, or just read it an pass along
summary info as "rumor", or ??
Thanks,
Shannon

treat it accordingly.
While anything that someone writes is copyrighted, if they don't make money
or other on-going benefit from it (as if it is part of a book for sale or a
piece of art) and have shared it freely, and you aren't going to make money
from it, then that is practically much less of an issue.
Then, as I see you have since done with the article you resent, pass on the
information with as much credit to the author as you know and, if proper,
context about where and when you received it.
