Man with orchitis?

This is a serious post and request for direction. I have a 24 yo pt
who called with a swollen testicle as a result of "abusive handling"
during sex which included anal penetration. He is in pain peri-
anally. there are no discharges. I have not seen this man yet as he
is traveling inter-state to consult with me. My question lies with
the differences with arnica-ledum or other ideas? Are emotionally
accepted situations which cause injury the same as an "accident".
(arnica) Is this type of penetration to the body the same as
a 'puncture' (ledum) or............Thanks.

Several years ago I treated a case of a young woman who was in a distinct
Ledum state after her first intercourse.
Sex would bring on chills and rigours which would last about an hour and she
had repeated dreams of crocodiles. A dose of Ledum 30C was all it took to
settle her down.

When you get to take the case, if the picture fits then Ledum could be a
possibility....an unusual form of puncture wound; that's for sure.

Once you will see the patient you will be more sure what truly caused the pain . Possible inflammation or std has taken place.

swelling of spermatic cord and testicles with pain and tenderness- Spongia

red swelling due to injury with pain - Arn.

Led is for woman as a result of penetration injury they may receive
during coition.
So it does not match the situation you mentioned unless the anal
penetration refers to his anus. Since it is not the normal route
to healthy sex and you may take his psychology also into account
for his abnormal cravings in which case zinc takes precedence
over all the others. You may also use ham externally.

This idea of "abnormal cravings" is one I've tried in the past to rep, but
couldn't find rubrics that seemed to suit. In this case since the anal sex
was mentioned as part of "abusive handling", it doesn't seem to have been
his desire; but if one were repping his partner, what rubrics might one be
looking at?)

Arnica is certainly where to start, although several days post-trauma it probably won't work as thoroughly as it might right after the event. On the other hand, there's a rubric "male-hydrocele, caused by a bruise" with one remedy, Arn. Sounds like the specific remedy for the specific situation.

Bellis-p is another remedy I think of when soft tissue and organs have been bruised.

For what its' worth, I treated a pt with orchitis (Left test.) in his
early 30's with Con 30c twice a day for less than a week. The problem
cleared up briefly returning about 2 years later. I again used Con 30c
which cleared up the problem. He has now been symptom free for the past
10 years.

This association burning and cutting in anus and rectum and sexual
excitement is found under only Nat-c (GS)and may be one of the remedies
for this kind of abnormal cravings possibly because of congenital
