classical homeopathy and bad spelling

Post by Allen Coniglio »

Julian - Just a little reminder to watch the spelling as I know you don't
want trouble. You wrote:
As we all know, "craping" is only hung when one is mourning and, I did
consider the possibility that you were mourning the loss of civility on this
list but, I couldn't imagine hanging crape over it. It is also possible that
you forget to add an "m" to the word and that you really meant to write
"cramping". That would be consistent with the cholera that was being
discussed. The third possibility is that the disease in question is known to
produce a morbid effect on the bowel and you chose to use a crude and
indelicate term to describe this effect. The word, however, would then be
spelled with two p's.

In another post you wrote:
There are several possibilities here. The first which comes to mind is the
well known tendency of modern royals to dilute their bloodlines by marrying
commoners and, then, to still expect to succeed to the throne. Really! I am
glad you noted here that the act of diluting and succeeding is a corollary
but not a requirement. Maybe these snotty royals will notice and start
dating their own kind and leave us honest people alone. A second, though not
as obvious possibility, is that there has been another misspelling. Or,
perhaps you considered writing "succussion" and, in an attempt to shake
things up on the list and to see if anyone is really paying attention, you
wrote "succession". You can be sly, so this is a definite possibility.

Just so you won't think that I am being picky, I would like you to know that
I have seen other misspellings from you in the past, sometimes as many as
two or three in the same post (and once there were two in the same
sentence!!) but, until now, I have held my tongue. I can't allow you to go
on misleading the others on this list, however, as many of them believe
that, just because you wrote it (or spelled it), it must be true.

Well, JW, I just wanted you to know that someone is watching and that it is
unlikely that you will often get away with these types of things. And,
consider this . . . When people write in and say mean things about you, it
is possible that person is taking issue not so much with what you say but,
how you spell it!

If you ever need any help with spelling in the future, please let me know.
That's what I'm here for.

First of all Allen, I send a Big HUG to JW for all the time he graciously

:-)

and secondly you're hide is being salvaged by the breadth of the continents
and the depths of the seas that seperates you & JW :-)

and thirdly Thanks Allen for injecting a bit of humor here!

Now then, to keep this on-list topic-ally speaking, doesn't anyone have any
info on Red Tide Sx to share with me?

best regards, Patti

You weren't the first to point out this terrible freudian slip!
Lucky you weren't there on the old "homeoNet" list. You would have
had a field day with my errors!
Uh oh! I'll have to watch my back! Get out the egg-shells, I feel
like taking a walk.
Well... since YOU are the speller, I'll just become the etiquette
person here... So how about snipping out the whole rest of the
message you managed to send along with this one? It came is as 10K
long, only 3K of which was your reply.
I really wish *people on this list would edit their replies* and snip
out the rest including the five or more

"ATTENTION PLEASE

Homoeopathy and educational benefit of its members. It makes no
representations regarding the....."

that keep getting appended to the end of all the replies.

Careful, JW - You may not have noticed that I did edit out all of the
sponsor bits at the end. There were none in my e-mail when I sent it. Also,
your "craping" comment came almost at the end of the original post so, I
left the final paragraph there so that people would be able to read the
whole thing in context. You may apologize if you wish. If not, please spell
"curmudgeon". And, please note - I'm leaving all the notices on the end of
this e-mail just to piss you off.

Orthographically yours,
AC

Kids - Do not try this at home. It is "supercalifragilisticexpialodocious".

From now on, you are all on your own. I am leaving my exalted place of
righteous orthography as, aside from being lonely up here, it is dangerous
at the top as so many aim to dethrone the master, wherever he might be
found. From this moment forward, I am going to spell like the rest of you.
BTW, I have deliberately misspelled a word in this e-mail just to give you
all some spelling practice and, to initiate myself into the abyss of
decadent composition.

Your mentor (formerly),
