Dear All,

I read about Staph 6x some years ago and tried it. Didn't do anything significant for me. Wish it did. Nevertheless the advice I received then was to "take it until eye sx's start...."

Ha!! On the other hand I've found Dulcamara effective in "flea bites & bed bugs". !!!! ("as if flea bites")

As for preventing malaria
2 homeopaths in Kenya are now independantly researching Malaria Officinalis 200 and Malaria Nosode Co. 200 respectively. This is in a country where Malaria kills nearly as much as or more than AIDS. It seems that both work well. Personally I prefer to use 30, but I'm just partial to lower potencies.
Single dose will "do" for up to 6 months. But nervous travellers might perfer 1 dose / month.

Alternatively: Nat mur 30- before travelling; Ars A 30 after arriving in a malarial area. Dose with Nat mur 30 / Ars 30 or even China 30 once a week or two.

Herbally: Neem tincture or 2x, 3x (Azadirachta indica) 5 -10 drops daily. Neem oil, Neem tea also.
Also: a thumbnail size piece of the inner white of the peel of a Grapefruit daily. (Probably grapefruit seed oil will do as well)

Lastly: Treatment for acute cases.
My experience for acute cases is good with China 2x or 3x - 5 drops every 1-3 hours depending on the extent of the attack.

For those who don't mind "complexes" (gulp!! ...) We have found the following formula good in Kenya used every hour or so according to severity of the attack:
Ars Alb 30 + China 30 + Nat mur 30 + Eupat perf. 30 + Malaria (nos or off) 30

For those who don't like complexes, then take Ars, Nat m & China in alternation every hour according to the severity of the attack. (or tuck in any other alternatives that may fit better, ie eupat perf, gels, cedron, etc).

NOTE: if you get malaria and your remedies ARE NOT working well enough or fast enough (within 6-12 hours), PLEASE go for allopathy. Certain malarias can kill within 36 hours if not attended to. Severe cases may need blood transfusions. Please don't mess with malaria or other severe tropical diseases, if you are unfamiliar in dealing with them. Later, you can always take some China Sulph to counteract the allopathic's lingering effects, but at least you'll be alive to do so.

Also note that if you've travelled, got malaria AFTER returning home and go to the hospital - make sure the hospital realises the country that you travelled in. Different allo-meds for different strains.
