A search through The Materia Medica Pura and the Chronic Diseases
(paper versions) yield all sorts of disparate information.

The symptoms in CD (as translated by Tafel in 1896-- which came after
Allen did his) has as symptom no. 530 "In the larynx a little dry
spot where it tingles, irritating to a dry, almost constant cough."

Close, but not quite. Most interesting.
