My goitre case

Post by Rochelle »

My patient reports that she feels that the goitre has gone down with the Lapis Al 4 x a day (I daren't write qd or qid anymore:0)) to what it was like when she first started seeing me. The constriction on swallowing is not there all the time. However she says she is very tired and feels that this is encroaching on her work so what I am after is a Rx to try and sort this out. I realise that this should be the constitutional Rx. I initially gave her Sepia 200 which I felt was correct for her but her energy went down after taking it so I presume I must have got it well wrong.

I have read over everyone's previous posts and someone suggested Gels. especially for the tiredness but I can't really fine a reason for giving it.

Looking at the rep I did originally Calc stands out. I have reread the case where she describes herself as a "slow placid person ". It is in Choudhury's book as "A" grade for the Tubercular miasm which I see in her as she is always doing something new or going somewhere. It is also in the follow on well Rx to Sepia. I am thinking of going with the 200C. I look on the Lapis as an organ Rx so have no qualms about giving a high dose of something on top of this. She is thinking of going on the Thyroxin after all because of the tiredness so I feel I need to try something. She is still very chilly which for her is unusual..

All opinions must appreciated , as usual.
