Dear Venkat,
Just reread your post again and it looks as if you are referring to Nat Mur. I don't see the closed behaviour of Nat Mur here, This child is far too sociable. However Bryonia is the acute of Nat Mur and is used when motion agg so when he actually has the headache it just may help him out.
I asked him about environment and he didn't mention the seaside. The other thing is that the heat of the sun doesn't bother him although he is a warm blooded person. Does anyone know what Rx have this generality?
All the best

Re: Migraine
Is he warm all over or is it certain body parts? How warm is he actually -
many rx have conflicting temperature modalities. If this is really important
to the case you have to be really specific.
Colchicum, one of the rx I suggested has a hot body but cold limbs and >>>
warmth.

Re: Migraine
These are the rubrics that I think are most important to rep for the headache. I am having a lot of difficulty with this one - primarily because most of the Rx I look at have nausea with the headache. He will phone me tomorrow as I have other question I wish to ask, namely during the headache is he thirsty , does he want company (it appears yes), any eye Sx, does he feel hot or cold in any particular parts of the body. However I feel that the Sx he gets that proceed the headache are important.
Pain - extending temples
Pain heat amel
Numbness cheeks
Numbness fingers headache before
Headache preceded by flashes combined with visual disturbances
vertigo headache before
Vision blurred before headache
Pain pulsating, throbbing
I added to this
restless legs
jesting
eruptions herpes mouth corners
anxiety hypochondriacal
My feelings about Rx I have looked at:- Sources mostly Clarke and Sankaran
Zinc - interesting, has the avers fish , possible mental but H/A in mostly evenings, agg from room nausea and vomiting - his is not. vertigo but not mentioned in conjunction with headaches. - Ferrum series possibly but not Stage 12
Cuprum- not enough headache modalities although Sankaran's Soul is interesting to read.
Nicc.- here there is nausea and vomiting again, I liked the ref to dullness and not comprehending speech and the vertigo. There is ref to temples but to both rather than 1. Most of ref are to vertex and forehead. I found it in pain motion agg The dreams are great and also avers contradiction- not so sure about the policeman bit. Worth another look!
Puls.- I found> However no indication of wanting fresh air.
Colch - has tingling fingers but seems to have a lot of chilliness in it. It has > warmth and saying still but not enough vertigo . It does have a tingling in skin as if frozen in the face.I have also found nausea from fish. He is quite sensitive I think but I couldn't find much on the Mind which interested me.
Looking at whether he is a plant , animal or mineral rx I think he probably needs a Mineral Rx.
Minerals - structure, concerned with their self worth. View themselves through relationships and jobs
I will send the full case in my next post.
Thanks for reading this

Re: Migraine
Dear Rochelle,
After studying the mental picture, I find that there
is no CHANGE in disposition in any manner in the boy.
Why would you want to include one sx when there is
none. This might provoke reactions from many members
but here focus on the thing to be cured.
Coming to the warmth :The warmth of body is not a
function of his temperature preference at least not as
a rule. Sep is called chilly but has hot extremities
and so on for many remedies. The bottom line is that
he is agg heat. The throbbing, pulsating, slightest
motion agg, with vertigo and slurred speech is what
the case is. My best choice is Natm. It is the classic
schoolchild headache remedy.

Re: Migraine
Thank you for your reply Venkat. He is amel heat NOT agg. With the headache a hot bath makes it feel better. He snuggles himself into the covers in bed. Do you think this could still be Nat Mur?

Re: Migraine
And what happened to individualisation, even of children? The school child
notion comes from the idea that Nat mur is useful for school girls who have
headaches due to anaemia from their menses.
