Homoeopathic alterations

Post by elham »

Dear friends,

It is strange that even after two hundred years the question regarding the
use of more than one remedy should go on.

Hahnemann did try alternating two remedies there is no doubt about that. He
alternated Rhus and bryonia and Ipecan and Nux and later apologised to the
profession for having done that.

That Hahnemann should have tried two remedies is very reasonable as he went
by the axiom 'prove all things'.. So when his disciples suggested
alternating remedies he tried it and even though in the begining he thought
they might be useful he later found them more harmful than useful and warned
us against them.

To suggest he had political reasons is ridiculous. Hahnemann was one person
whose love for truth was above anything else. He was very naive as far as
politics is concerned. In fact had he been politically wise he would not
have made so many enemies. Once he was allowed to give lectures in a
medical college and he attacked the medicine of that day so bably that his
classes had to be stopped. Had he been politically wise he would not
criticize the allopaths of his day so openly and so boldly.

Use single or double or multiple remedies if you have to but don't drag
Hahnemann into it.

best regards
Elham
