My headache

Post by almonds1 »

All this hair splitting about the vital force gives me a
headache. Instead, why don't we devise ways to prove homeopathy to the establishment
so we can simultaneously kick Jim Randi in the slats, take his million dollar
bounty--then force the insurance companies to cough up coverage so people's
medical insurance will cover homeopathy. I've know it works. You know it
works. Why do all the public outings in major media end in embarrassment?

Dear George,

Hear, hear! I don't think anyone has seriously tried to get the "Randi
million". I am sure it could easily be done - assuming, of course, that Mr
Randi really is willing to part with it!

Warmly,
Anna

(Welcome back, Anna!)
That would also assume that Randi was interested in playing fair, which
(presumably and apparently) he is not...

Homeopathy has been gaining ground in many quarters. The fact that we now
have our "very own quackbusters!" perhaps should comfort us that we've made
the big-time -- enough people *are* taking us seriously that "they" have
decided they need to take some shots at us. Sigh... I suppose that's the
good news?

At some point it becomes like a child of an abusive alcoholic parent, who
keeps trying to "prove" him/herself to the parent, to "make them love me."
Pathetic, and not very useful, especially if it takes the place of "having a
life"! Maybe better we focus on educating folks who are actually
*interested* -- which James Randi certainly isn't.

Well, there is no scientific measurement of patient well-being. In
homeopathy, like in other alternative medical methods, this IS the measure of succes or
failure.
If the patient is or feels all right again or better, than the prescription
was good and eficient and viceversa. Kind regards, Dr.medic Viorel V. Bucur
(www.dr-bucur.com).
