Thyroid & Fluoride - History of theFluoride/IodineAntagonism

Of course we know certain tried and true deficiencies. I'm taking about
all this subtle stuff, and yes I have studied much of it and found it was

the opposite

I think maybe you have misread a bit of what I wrote or I did not write it
clearly enough.
Also, if the person is taking something that is actually
Of course if they are doing something and see they feel better fine, but to
determine what it is that they need I find really is very challenging. I
just don't think that the information out there is that reliable - one says
one thing and another says the opposite.

But I do have a lot of this information and have studied much and find that
it just is not very useful due to the individual nature of what is required.

I think we probably have to agree to disagree as I do not see that it works
well to try to figure this out for people. Nor have I seen those that say
they are expert at it do well either.

No, I did not say that my diet has anything to do with the migraines I used
to have
I was vegie then and cured by homeopathy and continued to be vegie.
But gained weight on vegie diet and hungry all the time, so tried the
Atkins type diet with meat again (organic) and very low CHOs and only those
from vegetables. No bread, no dairy to speak of, no fruit, no sugar, etc.
That is what I feel better on on a day to day basis. But if you followed
the blood type diet - that would not have directed me to this. If I had
listened to most nutritional counselers of the alternative schools, I would
not have been told to eat this way.
A person has to find out for themselves, and I will admit, possibly making
suggestions to try different ones may be appropriate, but to think I could
possibly know what diet another should have, I do not think is possible -
other than by their trial and error.

Yes, it may matter to another's migraine, but there are a trillion
different things that people say helps them not have migraines. So you
give a person a list of those trillion things and say try one a month till
you hit on the right one?

Possibly.

And that is good for you. I just think that as homeopaths we are fooling
ourselves to think we can know homeopathy thoroughly and also know all of
this and be somehow psychic enough to figure out this organ and this gland
and this imbalance and this overload and this and that.
But I am informed on it - just haven't seen it helpful to me or many many
others who I know and have seen.

I know you

Not sure what my being an RN has to do with this conversation - I don't
recall bringing that up.
And certainly learned nothing about healthy eating and supplements & the
ins and outs of all of this being an RN

Maybe someone else does have more training than I - yes certainly many have
more training than I in this, but I am talking from experience - my own &
others - and being immersed in the holistic health field from late 1970's
on. It is my opinion that we cannot know. We can guess. We can
experiment. But I think it is not for a homeopath to do. If someone
thinks they can be all things to all people, I don't agree. My job is to
be the best homeopath I can be. Taking into account everything I know
allopathically and about pathology and disease and anatomy and physiology.
If I think that what I am doing is not working well and have done the best
that I can, I will refer, but I find it very hard to find anything as
consistent with laws and principles as homeopathy. Its so hard to get
across what I am thinking in email

Yes, I'm sure nutrition makes a difference. But what that should be for
each person, I don't know and don't think its my job to figure it out. I'm
not sure anyone can without trial and error, yes.

I guess what I am not getting across is that I don't think it is part of
what a homeopath does - trying to figure all of this out.

If you as a homeopath can learn and practice homeopathy and continue to
learn every day and can master all of the ins and outs of diet and
phsyiology and hormones and vitamins and minerals, then fine, but I just
don't think it is possible and I think the homeopathy suffers. If you can
master all of that, great. But I just don't see all of that as possible.
I can barely keep up with learning what I have to with homeopathy. There
are others who work with these other issues (although haven't seen examples
of any consistent results)
Refer out to someone you trust then. And it is trial and error. I don't
think any study or any program or any book proves anything beyond a shadow
of a doubt for each and every perosn

But I don't think it is something that a homeopath should be doing.
