repertorisation

Post by Soroush Ebrahimi »

Hi

The question of repertorisation came up recently.

In my view, when repertorising, the first rubrics should cover the centre of
the case.

Then add any unusual (Special, Rare or Peculiar) symptom rubrics.

Then the case remains focussed.

You can also concentrate on one aspect of case and if you FULLY define it
the list of remedies narrows down.

As a kid, I used to love being able to identify car make and model and
years. So by seeing a bit of bumper I knew what car, make and model it was.
Sadly my knowledge of Hom remedies is not as good, but if you can define an
aspect well - often if using Sankran's method which is based on Hn's
instructions on the Organon, just focusing on the presenting symptoms and
the sensations they create and the emotions and feelings they give rise to,
so help you in your detective work.

Thanks Soroush for sharing your repertorization wisdom. I loved the analogy with cars -- I used to love to do this, too, but then carsa a few decades back were more distinctive by brand than they seem to be today, somehow -- and it was provocative to realize the truth of what you said about not knowing the remedies as well as I used to know the cars. Hmmm....

In any case, I also find that when I'm not sure of what I've come up with by one of the methods you suggest, starting over and using the other method is often helpful in confirming the remedy or my doubt about it.

FWIW...

Rosemary
