A dog bite

Hi,

About two weeks ago two of my dogs nearly got into a fight and as I went to grab one of them out of the way, the other one grabbed my wrist and bit into it, thinking he had got hold of our other dog.

I cleaned the wound the best I could and when I got home that night used some Hypercal cream and took some Hypericum tablets.

My hand that day (a Tuesday) was so sore I couldn't even hold a pen but by the end of the week my hand was getting better and stronger. But during the course of last week it started to get worse and the swelling on the back of my hand (my right hand) is getting worse. And the start of this week it's worse still.

There's no pain when I touch my hand, or feel the bones in my hand, but the pain becomes very bad when I move my hand, especially on the side of my little finger, at the side near the base of my thumb, and my wrist.

I don't really want to see a doctor because I'm afraid he'll suggest a tetanus jab, and I've gone this long without ever having one and I don't really want to have one now. So was hoping you could recommend a better homeopathic homeopathic alternative.

I have been taking some painkillers but they're not having much affect.

i once had a worker get bit by a dog on the job. i gave him arnica for the trauma (he really was traumatized)
and then gave him ledum 30c. within 1-2 hours the swelling and black-blue color completely subsided and he
was able to work. by the days end there was only a mark on the skin with practically no soreness.

i will say that he was so incredulous that he went home that nite and decided to 'play it safe' and put some
otc antibiotic salve on the wound. the result of this was that the wound inflamed again.

Look to Lyssinum.
All bites from angered animals contain the poison that causes Lyssinum
symptoms, even tho they are not rabid.
I had someone have them even from a duck bite.

What are the symptoms?

Urge to urinate when water is heard running.
Urge to urinate when a loud sound is heard, such as a loud bang or a pot
falling to the floor, car backfiring, etc, even clapping hands will do it
for some.
There are many more, but those come foremost after an angered animal bite.

At least go and have it x-rayed - there is always the possibility the force
of the bite has fractured some of the delicate wrist bones and you might
need different treatment if that is the case!

Hi

I just want to thank everyone who responded regarding the injury of the dog
bite.

I did take ledum over a period of time and it took about two weeks before I
was able to actually use my hand again. The swelling on the back of my hand
has now gone down. There is still a bit of weakness around the little
finger and base of thumb, but seems to be getting stronger each day. The
only thing I have noticed was the skin on the back of the injured hand is
peeling, although that isn't quite so bad now.

So, once again, thank you very much indeed for your help. It has been
really appreciated because without it, I would have had to go and see the
doctor and I know without any doubt whasoever he would have made sure I had
the tetanus jab.
