Clotho arietans

Post by Jenny Decker »

In clinic we are treating a patient who seems very snake, and has a few quite unusual symptoms; one, leaving her body involuntarily (she's quite distressed by this) and dreams of snakes biting her. Clotho is in both of these small rubrics, but I can't find anything on the internet or in MMs.

I did find on the Internet however that there is a small text about Clotho by Wright in Radar, but I don't have access to it. I wonder if any list members have material on this remedy that can be shared?

Jenny

Dear Jenny, just a snippet

Clotho is the puff adder also called Bitis and I think is the one which
eats/bites its own tail. But this is common to a number of the snakes
especially Cenchris. And remember that snakes often eat each other as well.

Best, Joy

Hi Jenny,
Look up Clotho AriCtans instead of the way you have it spelled.
Lots of uses for it for swelling, where swelling is the main feature
(Boericke)

Thanks Alva! Some kind person sent me the proving, and I think this is my patient. As you note--swelling--as well as out of body sensations.

If you wouldn't mind,
I would love to have that proving as well.
Thanks!

I wonder if listmembers have recommendations for the best book on the various snake remedies?
