The more immediate issue (tho I'm sure the others will come to fore too) is
that US drug companies have been charging far higher prices for the same
products compared to (almost anyone, including) Canadian companies.
Additionally, Canadian pharmaceuticals have a very good safety record. And
so, buying from Canadian pharmacies instead of US pharmacies in order to get
the same product for far less money, has stopped being just a "clever" move
of certain individuals, and is being pursued as an option by by far larger
fish (??? Medicare was one, I think???). This would naturally reduce the
profits of the US pharmas, so yeah...

Interesting, isn't it, that "free trade" is our King (Bush's king, anyway),
except when it's not in our best interests; then we'll slap the ol' tarriffs
on. Arghhhhhh....

Hm. Canada should be big enough to stand up to us. Why don't they slap
some tarriffs on some American goods? (Or is our stuff still so much more
expensive that they don't want it anyway?)
