group consultation
Dear All,
My friend, age 50, engineer, bachelor, very intelligent , is a diabetic.
The sx presented were
1. Increased urination, thirst, hunger.
2. Sleeplessness for many years. Thoughts full of- three to four hours is the max sleep he gets
3. Cannot stand sunlight.
The causation is very important. He is a very queer individual, uncompromising and adamant.
Left the very company he founded, for a triviality. Then ventured into another industry and met
with disaster, lost all his money. Then a belching started. Initially it was once in fifteen minutes or
so, then reduce to one in a minute so much that he feared he might suffocate. It was then
a psychiatrist intervened, prescribed a drug and the thing stopped. At about the same time
he was diagnosed for sugar.
Another queerness is his marital state. He will refuse to marry a girl the family chose on some
trivial grounds( Indian parents choose the partners)- for nearly fifteen years since 1985 when
he returned from USA , leaving a very good job in a big company,
just when he was about to get green card- a dream for many Indians. Now, into all fads
such as astrology, feng shui etc etc., and not ashemed to be earning from them even when
he could earn atleast a hundredfold with his engineering talent if got employed.
About three months back, when I first prescribed , I took
Obstinate, had the queerest of objections to anything proposed- arg n. Igave it in 200c.
Nothing happened. The dose was repeated three times. No change.
Last week , Nat mur 200, was prescribed on totality, causation, etc . On completion of three
doses, there was a call from him. He refused to tell the thing over phone, I met his in his
bachelor's mansion. He told me that the drug had lowered his sexual urge totally. Now slowly
returning , he told me. Again queer. He has no intention to marry now. But , still feels the
sexual urge as natural and wants it. (think he masturbates). This impotence is also in the
range of sx of nat mur.
Shall I wait further?
or shall I go to the next potency ?
Shall I antidote ? (Incidentally arg nit is the antidote of nat mur)
All inputs welcome.
Regards
Venkat

Re: group consultation
Hi,
Some rubric suggestions.
His leaving the different occupations suddenly suggests
Impulsive, and Persevere can't ; undertakes many things
The direction of manifestation of his mental suffocation
at the time of maximum stress suggests
Flatulence, air hunger with ( kali-i, zinc - Phatak)
Flatulence, hysterical etc.,
The reason for his leaving USA needs to be explored
whether it has got any thing to do with his refusing
to marry, such as deception by his lover or his partner
heckling him for lack of performance etc., and the
appropriate rubrics chosen. If nothing specific could
be found then, Marriage, idea of, unendurable may
be considered. This plus lasciviousness + brainfag from
study and scientific labor around which the case
appears to be centered around ? - pic.ac
may be examined. It has persistent erection of penis
long lasting , day and night which might have disappeared
after nat-m - just a few random thoughts on this
interesting case.
hope this helps,
V.T.Yekkirala.

Re: group consultation
Dear Venkat,
From the profile & the symptoms you have described, it
seems that for this person control over everything in
his contact as well as life is very important. So is
his desire to stand out from the crowd. This may be
the reason to take the most unexpected decisions even
at the cost of career and earnings. Sexual desire
(masturbation) is another theme. Platina sounds a good
possibility to me specially if he is also very
conscious of his talents and class and loves to dress
like a king. Such people also overestimate themselves
and their abilities. Just a suggestion.
All the best.
Rajiv

*judged* them.
Another point is your judgement through the word "trivial." What is
trivial for you might not be for me. I have left jobs for what some
might judge as "trivial" reasons. They were NOT trivial to me. You
are *judging* his behavior without getting to the root of the "why."
"Now into fads." Like we are into the "fad" of homeopathy? Again. A
*judgement* on your part.
"not ashamed to be earning from them" I know several people who have
held "good" jobs and then left, studied something else (fad, trivial,
queer) and now are HAPPY earning their living from them. Again, you
are making a judgement. Would you be ashamed to earn money from feng
shui and are thus projecting your feelings onto him? If he is earning
a living, what's the problem? Earning more is not necessarily better.
Long ago I left a lucrative design job and took a 2/3 pay cut to get
a job in teaching. I've never regretted doing so.
I know that within the culture the family chooses the marriage
partner, but that is within *the culture*. You say he spent time in
the USA. He was exposed to another culture. Now he refuses to abide
by his native culture. I see that as a sign of healthy independent
thinking and not of illness.
Hahnemann suggests that the case be received in a way that is free
from prejudice.
I can't say that you have done that. The case you present is full of
judgements about this person. Until you can see it non-judgementally,
you will not find a remedy for this man.

All engineers are weirdos.
Every single one I have ever met has had symptoms like this.
Perhaps it is their nature.

Dear ALL
'All engineers are LEFT BRAINED',as below..some though are trying to engage their right brains so need more complex care.

I know a lot of engineers including my husband and I have to tell you that
they all (most of the one's I know ) are very giving and gentle people and
, not weirdo's, and I though we are supposed to be observing and non
judgmental homeopaths, the below emails do not portray that.

So why do I see only Lycopodium in this case. Lack of commitment runs all through!!

Re: group consultation
Only if I could get his family onto this group to pour out their vexation.
They have lost all hopes on him- his brother says, god only should help.
Some examples of the queerness: (since I know him since he returned from
the USA.)
The very reason he gave for quitting USA was the contradiction of cutures.
He DID NOT LIKE IT . In one of the "bride seeing" occasions where
the entire family would visit that of the bride's , he walked away just
by seeing the bride's sister. Said "tick it off." In another occasion, he
had
suspicions on the girl's conduct just because her younger sister got married
before her. My family was also part of the searching brigade and he was just
that every time .
he says, what is abnormal to you is normal to me. His present fad(I
emphasize)
is a small group headed by a "gifted girl" who claim she is the
reincarnation of
an ancient saint. The whole group claims one or the other of such rubbish
.This man
who was an athiest first now sits there doing some process called meditation
which has not changed him a bit.( I know yoga for twenty years and his
cult's
practices are odd and every claim absurd)
He is my mentor in my engineering career and still my guide for complex
design problems. He no longer relishes his one time passion and now
into full time astrology and feng shui and meditation with his chronic
sleeplessness .
He has never dated. (even in the US).
The parallel between what you did and what he did is incorrect. You
chose another passion which has substance, you have aquired sort
of eminence. Accepting salary cut is different. Refusing all means
of livelihood is another. This is rather not my judgement but an earnest
way of helping him out of a rut. Seems to have touched a raw spot
in you.

In defense of engineers -- many of the ones I know are delightfully both right brained and left-brained -- very creative and also very detail oriented. Rosemary
