Friends,
information on the 20/20 segment on homeopathy. They have told me that it
doesn't seem that many people saw the program (despite the fact that it was
the #14th most watched program that week, even ahead of NBC's E.R.), that
those who saw the program don't trust John Stossel (he is actually
well-loved by millions, while disliked by a real minority), and that any
response to this program would not be productive. The NCH has said that
they have not received many emails from members telling them that they
should do something.
would respond, and these people are shocked that they haven't.
on this issue OR if you feel that they should respond to correct the
misinformation provided, please write to the NCH at:

homeopathic community responded strongly. That one segment on homeopathy
was one of the very few segments that DATELINE produced that they chose not
to show in a repeat viewing for 2nd time. If we remain quiet, 20/20 may
choose to show this piece of junk journalism again. Would you like that to
happen?

Re: Homeopathy and Junk Science/Junk Journalism
Hi Dana, I took liberty at truncating your original, below, I hope w/o affecting your intention.
For the purpose of conveying to all on this list, our association, the Florida Association of Oriental Medicine, www.faom.net , has posted Dr. Ullman's e-mail on our website and forwarded it to our entire e-mail listings. Our office has rec'd many responses via e-mail expressing their individual concern.
This is not merely an issue for doctors of Homeopathy, it affects all of us, and that is why our Association, though of a different paradigm, has advanced the material. Good information is central to the decisional process.
Our office is constructing a letter to be sent to the producers of the 20/20 program, and we would suggest to others on this list that your contacts at the various colleges as well as professional associations might be sources from whom to obtain a response.
As the world truly is a village, don't feel constrained because you are not in the US. Information and truth belongs to all of us, it is the bedrock of our social inter-connections.
Regards
