Comprehending Homoeopathy (was Hypertension)

May I join you on that rant Julian! It really annoys and astounds me the
number of people who go off half-cocked using remedies because someone "told
them so" or their homoeopath once prescribed so, and then go about claiming
that "homoeopathy doesn't work!" I have a dear friend who once was
prescribed mercury for her daughter's sore throat. Every time her kid gets
a sore throat now, she just shoves mercury down that poor throat... and
never mind what the symptoms are, despite the fact, the said lady is a
respected nutritionist (i.e she should know better...). How does one go
about educating people without one becoming boorish and dogmatic? (sigh)

Any ideas welcome!

That's why it is important to define ourselves and to seek
recognition for that definition. So when someone calls themselves a
"homeopath" you can at least be sure of a basic amount of
understanding.
