Teenage acne

Hi

I have a friend whose 15yr old son has terrible acne on his face, back
and arms. He refuses point blank to see medical folks, GP, dentist,
optician etc.
I believe they are trying silicea without much success, any ideas for
other remedies I might suggest to them?

Hi, Jane.

Could they be persuaded to see a professional homeopath? Acne is not one of
those conditions one can treat with a couple of doses of an over-the-counter
remedy selection. If you tell us where they are, perhaps someone on the
list can recommend a professional homeopath close to them.

I would have to agree that it is pretty crazy and dangerous
to just take remedies "at random", as it were, without taking
a full case. I once had a client who was cured of a horrible case
of acne using homeopathic Chocolate
but I wouldn't have arrived at the remedy based on the skin
symptoms. I completely ignored the skin symptoms when trying to
solve the case since I knew it wasn't the center of the case even
though it was the chief and literally the only complaint at the time.

These are the only skin chapter sxs for Chocolate. There are currently no
Chocolate symptoms containing the word "acne" in the repertory.
SKIN - DRY
SKIN - HARD
SKIN - ITCHING
SKIN - ITCHING - scratching - bleeds; must scratch until it
SKIN - NUMBNESS
SKIN - SENSITIVENESS
SKIN - THICK

It is possible to suppress skin (or any other) symptoms in homeopathy just
as in any other form of medicine, which leads to long term problems.
