flu

Post by Tanya Marquette »

in todays paper (NYS) was an article on a 4 yr old who died of "flu complicatons."
he apparantly was given a flu vaccine with a previous year's flu virus. the
article says there were underlying health conditions that affected his risk.

this was a small article but significant in terms of the basic problems: weak
immune system and flu vaccine

just thought you might like to know.

is there a genuis epidem. for the current symptoms of flu right now....seeing
alot of sinus congestion, clear discharge or no discharge, initial fever with
strong aches and pains, chilliness, sneezing, coughing, overall lack of
energy and a very slow recovery, taking weeks with symptoms coming and going...the
length of recovery and nasal congestion is most
characteristic???????????????????

thank you
fred

Don't know what part of the US you're in, but though there hasn't been much
flu in New England this year, what I have seen is mostly Bryonia.

Fred I have been having fair bit of success with Rhustox (including myself)
I am in Australia so dont know if the strain is the same but the symptoms
certainly sound similar Regards Pauline

Patient very stressed because of her son's wedding at the weekend, her husband's business is not doing well and they are having to sell their beloved second home. This patient gets recurring flu in the winter and last year we sorted it with Tabacum but this is not working this year.
Arsenicum 30 helped initially ( nose discharge watery/stopped up) for what I suggested may just be a cold but then she got green thick sticky discharge from nose so went to Kali Bich. 30 . Then yesterday went to Puls 30 - 3 doses as said she was weepy previous day but she says today no better and she has been very tired, exhausted
Symptoms all keep coming and going (changeable?)
Throat achy and sore - possible glands up (on and off)
shivery on and off (no temperature she says)
Tingly - intermittent fizzy feeling in abdomen (better today - repped it as bubbling)
No sneezing or coughing but heaviness in chest - again coming and going
Discharge from nose much paler green
headache - mild , stabbing to back of left eye possibly to do with aching left ear
Legs wobbly - vision not perfect (ongoing Sx which go with Agar 30)
Main emotion-

Thirst comes and goes.
Usually > fresh air.
Any suggestions MUCH appreciated. Nosode? Tub?

Hi Tanya,
Don't mean to interrupt Rochelle's thread, but is there a homeopathic remedy for 'embarrassed about being seen as weak'?
