Masectomy

Post by Rochelle »

A very dear friend of mine phoned to say that a mammogram she had recently showed 2 separate tumours in one breast although she can not feel any lumps. She has had biopsies which say that they are malignant and is to undergo a mastectomy at the end of the month with a reconstruction of the breast at the same time from muscle tissue in her back. They are also taking lymph glands out as well. She says is feeling totally fit and well and is going ahead with this and feels confident that because the problem was found so early she will get on with her life. My question is what Rx have people given for this op. I am thinking in terms of Arnica after + Calendula 6x tid for a week or so to help with the healing. The other thought was Staph. before if she needs it. Any advances on this please.

There is also me thinking that I refuse every mammogram offered as I don't want my small boobs squashed between 2 metal plates as I reckon it would be damaging. What do others think?

It is my understanding that there is current argument as to the efficacy of mammograms. Otherwise I would reflect upon the following Rx: Carcinosum, Ferrum Iodatum; Conium Maculatum, Hydrastis Canadensis, Galium Aparine, Hydroquinone, Sulfur.

I haven't been asked and I am not offering to treat her constitutional. She has made her decision and the last thing she needs at this minute is for me too persuade her otherwise. She is confident with the surgeon and that after the surgery she will carry on her life. I will be around to listen. What I am willing to do is to prescribe acutely for the operation to help her recover as quickly as possible.

Thank you Marleen. I will include that in the pack I make her up with indications.
