After 2 doses of Ars 30 in a Water Potency he has phoned me to say that his feet are no better and his face is puffy. His anxiety sounds bad to me on the phone. I have told him not to take anymore Arsenicum and explained that it might be an aggravation before it getting better and to phone me in the morning!! I asked particularly about the heat and he says that heat helps and he has just had a hot bath. He also said that he as a person isn't particularly hot , in fact his legs can get quite cold. I am bothered because I would have thought that at the least the anxiety would have been better. Any comments will be much appreciated. If he is no better in the morning I think I will have to suggest a visit to the Doctor which I know he doesn't want to do.

Bermuda man - Update!!! help!!
Re: Bermuda man - Update!!! help!!
Dear Rochelle, water dose or dry imho this was too high a potency and too
much of a dose for him - I had suggested LM's and low potency. However, what
is done is done and I think you might need to be on call for this person
tonight.
Are you sure the face puffiness started after the remedy? Has he had a
swollen face before during these episodes? Make sure (with fully worked on
details) that this is an Arsenicum case, go through all the modalities and
keynotes. Ascertain whether he is proving the remedy or not. Make sure it
isn't Rhus tox which prefers a hot bath for the burning skin conditions.
Insist he calls you if the swelling gets worse or goes to his throat. And be
prepared to antidote if necessary or at least go with the sx he presents
with or call a doctor - the next few hours will tell you what you need to
know.
If you need further help let me know.
Best, Joy

Re: Bermuda man - Update!!! help!!
From: Joy Lucas
I have had students in for tutorials tonight and have beenn in but there have been no phonecalls
I am fairly sure that he has not mentioned this to me before but then he isn't marvellous at gving me symptoms.
I feel that it is an Arsenicum case at this moment because of his anxiety
Always a difficult one
He has never used the word burning but the word itchy for the skin conditions. The vesicles have been empty and bursting with no liquid in. The word here is dry. Dryness of skin. There is dead skin desquamating so badlyy that it is all over the bedclothes in the morning. Having studied the 2 rx in Allen's Diseases of the kin I am happy that it is Ars rather than rhus Tox.
An antidote to Ars is Sulphur nd hedoes have some of that in the house. He is sensoble enough to go to the hospital if need be. We arranged that he will be call me before 9 a.m. in the morning . If there is no improvemnet i want him to go to the Doctor get some diuretics whether he likes it or not!!
Thank you for your concern.
All the best
