Re: Potency Preparation with Centrifugal Machine

Post by Homeo Doctor »

Dear Doctors and Pharmacist!

Few pharmacies are using centrifugal machines for making potencies. Is it equal
to applying jerk for making potency.

Recently we (doctors) from all over punjab province visited one of the renowned
pharmacy of Pakistan that is also ISO-9001 certified.

The pharmacy is preparing hand made potency by using Jerk Method. A doctor asked
a question to Dr. MAS whether we can use centrifugal machine for obtaining the
same result as applying 10 jerk to a potency. He said "No" The principle of the
centrifugal machine is different as compare to applying the jerk to glass
bottle. The detail is available at

What is your opinion on centrifugal process for making potency? Which methods
are adopting other world pharmacies. Is there any similarity between these
methods or everybody has its own opinion?

but none of them make remedies

Can you further define the terms.

The Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States simply says that
the attenuation is to be succussed. They left it at that because none
could agree on the number of strokes.

The two major machines in use in the USA (Quinn and Helios) both use
a succussion process between fillings.
I have not seen the Helios machine, but the Quinn machine was
designed to swing in the same arc as Mike Quinn's arm, and bring the
vial down upon a leather pad with the same force as it was done by
hand.

All pharmacies that I am familar with, do the 1-30th potency in the
Hahnemannian manner with hand (or similar) succussion.
